29-year-old Michał Gontaszewski from Polkowice (Lower Silesia) attempts to cover on foot the total lenght of the borders of Poland, that is a distance of about 4,000 kilometres. He set off on Monday. He claims that what he mostly fears is solitude, ticks and stray dogs, but above all – that he will prove too weak to complete his journey.

Doctors did not manage to save the 55-year-old man who had been brutally assaulted a week and a half ago by his 16-year-old partner. The man died in the hospital in Zabrze. The tragedy took place at a party. The teenage girl was kicking the man and jumping over him.
