Polish National Football Team drew with Lithuania 1-1

Polish National Football Team drew with Lithuania 1-1 after a boring and very poor game in Portugal. Polish team consisted of players from Polish Extraklasa (Polish Football League). The match was not too good and it was hard to find the best player of each teams. Poland scored in 12’ when Paweł Brożek defeated Lithuanian goalkeeper from penalty area. Polish team was satisfied only 14 minutes, because Lithuanian striker Klimavicius equalized and the score was 1-1. Second half was boring and slow.

Minister Sikorski wants to punish murderers of Polish geologist

“Polish citizen has been killed by murderers! The government will do everything to punish them. We have done everything to prevent this unnecessary death. I will prove that very soon” said Radosław Sikorski for TVN 24.

Polish Secret Service wanted to find the Amber Room

Polish daily “Rzeczpospolita” informs that the secret police in communist Poland (SB) tried to find the Amber Room (Amber Chamber). SB and KGB agents thought that Erich Koch who was Prussian land agent, would reveal the place where the Amber Room was hidden. In spite of the fact that Koch was sentenced to death in 1959, he died in 1986. Polish government wanted to find this treasure and Koch seemed to know everything about the Amber Room. Unfortunately he did not tell anything.

32 years old murderer tried to commit suicide

Police officers from Poznan found wanted criminal Jan S. who was accused of killing 2 people. The man tried to commit suicide and shoot himself in the head. He was taken to a local hospital but his state of health is very poor.

695 redundancies in one of the biggest companies in Poland

Well known Polish furniture company “Nowy Styl” wants to lay off 695 employees. It is 25 % of all crew. The company will dismiss such a big number of workers because of economic crisis and financial problems.
