A 17-year-old Polish girl is going to become a councillor in Sweden?
A 17-yeard-old pupil of a secondary school of Polish descent, Magda Lukaszewicz has big odds on becoming the youngest councillor in Sweden. Yet, her candidature has given rise to a discussion, whether such young people should engage themself in politics. “I want to represent Swedes in the same way as Poles or Turks” – stresses Lukaszewicz.

Poles without an Oscar
Nominated in 9 categories “Avatar” got only 3 statuettes from the American Movie Academy. And not in the most important categories, because the Oscar for directing and the best picture was given to the creators of the film about the war in Iraq “Hurt Locker”. Our “Rabbit à la Berlin” hasn’t got an award.

Jerzy Turek died
He was one of the most popular Polish actors. Everybody remembered him mainly as a singing to a wardrobe trainer Wacław Jarząbek from "Miś" by Stanisław Bareja. For many years he has been impersonating the character of the postman in "Złotopolscy". In Warsaw died a prominent actor Jerzy Turek. He was 76.
