Polish students took part in Nobel Prize gala

Two Polish students, laureates of an international scientific contest were invited to Stockholm, in order to take part in Nobel Prize gala. What is more, both youngsters will meet with Swedish king during a ceremonial banquet for Nobel prize-winners.

Polish trains are faster

A train journey from Warsaw to Cracow and Katowice takes 20 minutes less than it used to be. According to new schedule our express trains, intercity and TLK trains cover this distance in 2.5 hour (even 2 hours and 22 minutes).

Polish scientists discovered unknown particle of earth

Polish physicists, who designed special machine testing unknown particles of earth, are very successful. Their machine, installed in Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland (near Genève), detected muons, elementary particles with negative electric charge, which is an effect of collision of two protons.

First Polish satellites

The Astronomic Centre of Polish Academy of Science and The Centre of Cosmic Researches in Warsaw were given 15 million euro (3.5 million euro) for their new project – building two small research satellites. “It will be first ever Polish satellites in space” – said dr hab. Aleksander Schwarzenberg-Czerny from The Astronomic Centre of Polish Academy of Science.
