John Paul II will be saint

Benedict XVI has signed a decree presuming John Paul II as a saint person. This signature closed first part of the beatification of Polish pope. There was also signed a decree on martyrdom of priest Jerzy Popiełuszko, killed by the secret police in communist Poland.

Poland disagree with ECHR ruling

On 3rd November the European Court of Human Right made a ruling that crosses, traditional symbols of Christian religion, shall be removed from Italian schools. Despite the fact that it does not require that Poland remove the crosses that hang in most public schools, but it has met with strong political resistance.
