Yet another national mourning

President Lech Kaczyński declared two days of national mourning stating at 6 a.m. Monday morning following Friday’s methane explosion in a Silesian mine, where 18 people were killed.

There two another victims of tragic accident that occurred in well known Polish mine – “Wujek” in Ruda Śląska.

A man killed by thunder on Giewont

Everything happened on the top of Giewont. The man had climbed on the one of most popular mountains in Poland and decided to rest near the huge cross. He was standing on the top when suddenly the thunder stroke in a metal cross what also hit the tourist.

He was fighting with moles and he is dead

Yesterday in allotment in Zbąszynek (Llubuskie voivodship) there was a big explosion. As it turned out the explosion was caused by an allotment holder who wanted to kill...moles. The result was very tragic – the man is dead.

Another Polish soldier killed in Afghanistan

Privet Artur Pyc has died after a long hospitalization in Lublin. The soldier was wounded in Afghanistan several months ago – informed Command Headquarter of Polish Army.
