Marek Edelman is dead
Marek Edelman who was the last living leader of the uprising in Jewish Ghetto in Warsaw died on Friday in his house in Warsaw. Edaelam was a soldier during World War II (The Warsaw Uprising), well known cardiologist and oppositionist in communist Poland.

Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage founded a stone with a commemorative plaque of Polish well known writer - Gustaw Herling-Grudziński which was unveiled in Russian city Jarcevo in Archangelsk Region. The region is famous for one of strict Gulags in Russia during War World II.

Participants of the Peace Congress paid tribute to victims murdered in Auschwitz
Participants of the Peace Congress – “People and Religions” came today to Auschwitz in order to pay tribute to victims murdered in the death camp. They laid wreaths at the wall of executions, where Nazis murdered thousands of Jewish and Polish people.
