Russians may not support Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz

Polish well known politician – Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz may not be successful during the Council of Europe election. Firstly, Russian side wanted to support Cimoszewicz, but next this country was not allowed to take part in voting. The document was also signed by Polish delegates what cannot be helpful for Cimoszewicz.

Visegrad group debates

A two day Visegrad group meeting has started. Such problems as economic crisis, energetic safety and as well as widening of NATO and European Union are going to be discussed.

XIX Economic Forum in Krynica

Yesterday a XIXth edition of Economic Forum has started in Krynica. This event gathered 900 participants in 140 panels. More than 2000 guests are expected to join. The Forum will end on 12th September.

Polish government is planning to raise excise on alcohol, cigarettes and petrol. It is also possible that there disappear tax reliefs and VAT will be raised.
