Warsaw Museum Nights - 16th May 2009

People from Warsaw and tourists will be able to go to 141 sanctuaries of culture. During this only night it will be possible to visit not only the most important museums and galleries but also, for the first time, Polish Sejm, Synagogue of Nozyki and Archive of the Polish Academy of Science.

European Theater Award for a Pole

Prominent director Krystian Lupa had been presented with the European Theater Award as a first Pole in history. He collected the award during solemn ceremony in Polish Theater in Wroclaw.

Grotkowski's Wroclaw

Starting in Wrocław a six-day-long festival is trying to reconcile a jubilee annivesary of Grotkowski's year with a presentation of works of art and proposals of experimentators. A prestigious prize Premio Europa per il Teatro will be granted on Sunday to Krystian Lupa.

Witkacy's Festival in London

"The students of Westminster University in London decided to affect English audience with love to Witkacy. The festival on the 70th anniversary of death of the artist was organized to familiarize the Brits with creative activity of the writer and painter - Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz." wrote "Dziennik".

Polish productions appreciated in the USA

Five Polish TV productions – spectacles “Doctor Halina”, “Emil B.’s case”, documentaries “Take me from here”, “On the other side”, and series “The Screen Art” - were awarded at the 52nd edition of the New York Festivals.
