A 29-year-old wants to trek along the Polish borderline

29-year-old Michał Gontaszewski from Polkowice (Lower Silesia) attempts to cover on foot the total lenght of the borders of Poland, that is a distance of about 4,000 kilometres. He set off on Monday. He claims that what he mostly fears is solitude, ticks and stray dogs, but above all – that he will prove too weak to complete his journey.

Multimedia environment centre in the Bear Cave

Lion and hyena models, a collection of bear skulls and multimedia presentations are only a couple of attractions offered by the Environment Education Centre, which was established in the Bear Cave in Kletna near Stronie Śląskie.

Summer season at the Okecie airport – new connections

On 28th March the Warsaw-Okecie airport begins the summer season which lasts till the end of October 2010. During this time the airport offers nine new air connections.

War path in Malopolska

A Path of Eastern Front of World War I will be created in the Malopolska region. It will include museums, battlefields, war cemeteries, strongholds and preserved trenches. Similar thematic path, aiming at preserving still existing relics of World War I, is planned in the Podkarpackie region.
