Scientists build the first Polish satellite
The Polish government plans to spend 14.2 million zlotys (about 3.3 million euros) for the first Polish satellite - informs a daily newspaper “Polska”. It is expected to be put into orbit in 2011, and its mission is to observe stars brighter than the Sun.

Polish scientists discovered unknown particle of earth
Polish physicists, who designed special machine testing unknown particles of earth, are very successful. Their machine, installed in Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland (near Genève), detected muons, elementary particles with negative electric charge, which is an effect of collision of two protons.

First Polish satellites
The Astronomic Centre of Polish Academy of Science and The Centre of Cosmic Researches in Warsaw were given 15 million euro (3.5 million euro) for their new project – building two small research satellites. “It will be first ever Polish satellites in space” – said dr hab. The Astronomy Society members from High-school number 10 in Toruń have discovered an asteroid in Main Lane. Pupils and their teachers have made their discovery by chance, when they where observing so called killers ( objects that may threaten the Earth).
