Festival Poland Street Underground 2009

The festival, which is organized by the Institute of Polish Culture in London, will be started on the 13th of November. This year central idea is “Control”.

Warsaw will be promoted as Chopin’s city

Warsaw authorities decided to promote the capital as a city of well known Polish compositor – Fryderyk Chopin. One month long campaign will be started on the 15th of November. Information posters and short – 30 seconds long films will appear in whole Poland and on the Internet.

Polish accent during a festival in New York

11 Polish events can be found in a schedule of lasting 5 months festival called “Artistic Revolution of Central Europe in New York”. The main idea of the festival is to commemorate 20th anniversary of the collapse of communism in Europe.

Doda did not win MTV Europe Music Awards 2009

Doda was a nominee for The best European artist MTV Music Award. She was hot favorite to this title according to her teenager fans. However the statue went to Turkish band maNga.

Ostróda builds a stadium for Euro 2012

Ostróda is a well known tourist place in Masuria. In recent years it was voted the most popular tourist place in Warmia and Masuria. It is no wonder as city council has done everything to make this city tourist friendly. Now it has a chance to host one of visiting football teams during Euro 2012.
