Student Miss Poland - huge mistake of organizers
20 year old Paulina Multon, second year student of foreign trade at PWSZ (State Higher Vocational School) in Płock became on sunday a Student Miss Poland. Unfortunately she was her only for 24 hours, because... the service made mistake when counting votes.
At night from monday on tuesday on the website of Polish Mass Event Agency (PAIM), the organizers of the contest. put a short statement. They explained that "because of failure of a computer system for counting votes of jury appeared an unexpected error in the final part of the contest". After another counting of votes by PAIM and jury in the presence of a commission (at monday evening) the final order of granted points was changed. Three most beautiful students changed their places, wrote Gazeta Wyborcza.
Magdalena Serafin won the contest, the title of vice-miss went to Magdalena Romejko, IVth year student of pedagogy at Copernicus University in Torun. Paulina Multon won only the title of second vice-miss.
The organizers blame the computer system used for counting votes.
The members of jury noticed that something was wrong announcing the results: - Because they knew their votes. After the contest they came to us and said that they were voting in a different way. We decided to be fair although some people advised us not to do anything. We made a decision that we would count the votes once again and we would admitt that we had made a mistake, said Leszek Tomaszewski, one of the organizers.
