Hannu Lepistoe, the coach of our ski jumpers national team, has been dismissed from work and is not going to lead our team to the last competition in Planica.
The main reason for not to great performance of our ski jumpers, in particular Adam Małysz, is the dismissal of Lepistoe.
It is not known, so far, who is going to be a substitute for the Finn. The only certain thing is that in competition in Planica our team is going to be led by Łukasz Kruczek - the Lepistoe assistant.
"Our contract of employment is expiring at the end of April and is not going to be extended" - explain Grzegorz Mikuła, the secretary general of PZN. "During last dozen or so days we have been carrying on consultation in the sports and scientific environment, after which we came to a conclusion that two years before the Olimpics there is a strong need for the change of our team coach. We are grateful to Hannu Lepistoe for everything what he had done in Poland during those two years of collaboration. We appreciate the golden medal in championships and World Cup, won in his care by Adam Małysz. We have a great respect to his coaching techniques but we came to a conclusion that our competitors need some kind of new impulse and higher optimization of teaching process" - said Mikuła.
