The most interesting sayings of 2008
Polish daily the “Polska” has chosen 8 sayings, which were both interesting and outrageous. Janusz Palikot is an unquestioned leader of this ranking.
1. Palikot about Lech Kaczyński – “I think that our president is a lout. He is not worth being our president”.
After this statement everyone in Polish Parliament was indignant. Palikot had to apologie Lech Kaczyński. He said he was ashamed and regretted saying those words.
2. Palikot about the Polish Football Association – “This head of a pig symbolizes death and mafia. I send it to the Polish Football Association, because they are like mafia. Michał Listkiewicz should be in prison now. I am sure he will be very soon.
Listkiewicz replayed very quick.”I think that Palikot is a normal coward. He should have given me this head of the pig personally.
3. Lech Kaczyński about Polish International football players: Roger Guerreiro and Artur Boruc – “Roger Parejro is the best; however Artur Borubar is also very good”.
Polish president commented Polish team after the European Championship in Austria and Switzerland. President’s spokesman explained that Lech Kaczyński was not talented in foreign languages…
4. Donald Tusk about Howard Webb – “I have to say that I wanted to kill Howard Webb yesterday”.
Polish Prime Minister commented fatal mistake of English referee during a football match between Poland and Austria. After this situation Howard Webb was given personal bodyguard – wrote “The Guardian”.
5. Artur Górski about Barack Obama – “Obama is a big catastrophe. America will pay a huge price for their poor democracy”.
Low and Justice Member said these sentences during his speech in the Sejm. He was accused of racism and punished for this statement.
6. Radosław Sikorski about moral….dwarfs (Lech Kaczyński?) – “Mr.Wałęsa, you do not need to become upset becouse of moral dwarfs and their statements. They never stop yapping”.
Sikorski said that during 25th anniversary of Nobel Prize for Lech Wałęsa. He said that he was quoting Marshal Piłsudzki.
7. Donald Tusk about castration of pedophiles – “I know that it is not too moral, but I do not thing we can call them ‘human’. They may be castrated”.
Tusk’s comment about 21 years old girl from Siemiatycze who was rapeing by his father.
8. Elżbieta Kruk about her behaviour – “I am a good Member of Parliament, I can do...some things. I am very tired”.
Kruk was believed to have been drunk in the Sejm.
