Government economized 4,7 billion Euro

The government economized 4,7 billion Euro on the budgets of the departments. Yesterday the Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the action of “tightening the belt” have succeeded.

“Of course there were some emotions. In some departments the cuts demanded remarkable determination but we can talk about happy end. “ said Tusk.

According to Jan Vincent Rostowski, minister of finance 2,4 billion Euro will be saved on cutting expanses. Another 2,3 billion Euro will come from the change of financing road investments.

“We won’t save on benefits, pensions and salaries.” said the minister of finance at the press conference.

The biggest cuts will concern the Ministry of Defence but also the other departments will experience a painful sensation. The Ministry of Health will save on refunds, prophylaxis and researches over cancer. The Ministry of Education will reduce the outlays on scientific researches and renovation works. Also the standard educational reform – 6 year old to school – has been cancelled.
