Polish airports served more than 18 million passengers last year. It is 3.6 % than in 2007. The information has been revealed by the Civil Aviation Office.

PLL Lot was the most popular air carrier among Polish passengers. 28 % of all passengers made use of PLL Lot’s service (31.52 % in 2007).

Also Hungarian WizzAir was very popular in our country, because 19.24 % (10.06 in 2007) of Polish passengers traveled with this air carrier. Third place goes to Irish Ryan Air with 16.17 % (13.42 % in 2007), fourth to German Lufthansa – 6.07 % (5.21 % in 2007) and fifth to British Easy Jet – 5.32 % (3.76 % in 2007).

What is more, cheap air carriers, like Ryan Air or WizzAir are still very popular in Poland, because around 52.62 % of all passengers made use of their service (50.06 % in 2007).
