Adam Małysz took second place In Planica
The Ski Jumping World Cup season is finished. It was very nice finish for Polish supporters of Adam Małysz. Polish champion of ski jumping took second place in the last event in Planica, while Kamil Stoch was on 8th place. Polish national team lost only with Norway team.
It was very fierce contest. After first series 5 ski jumpers were very close to each other: Adam MAłysz (210 meters), Simon Amman (210 meters), Gregor Schlirenzauer (210 meters), Noriaki Kasai (210.5 meters) and Harri Olli (211 meters). Małysz got the best mark for style so he was first after the first series.
Second series started with two fantastic jumps of Martin Schmitt (216) and Kamil Stoch (206.5). Other sportsmen could not reach 200 meters. But first ten of ski jumpers showed their class.
Schlirezauer landed on 200th meters, Amman jumped 208 meters, Wasiliev 204.5 and Kranjec 212.5.
The best was Harri Oli who jumped 219.5 meters. Małysz was able to jump 209.5 meters but it was not enough to beat Olli who got better marks for style.
Adam Małysz finished the Ski Jumping World Cup on 13th place.
