The President awarded „The Snow Queen”

After sports medals it is about time for the most important state decoration. The Polish President awarded Justyna Kowalczyk with Cavalry Cross of Polonia Restituta Order. It was a reward for a recent sports achievements, among others, for winning the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup.
Last Weekend Justyna Kowalczyk won 2008/2009 Cross-Country Skiing World Cup in Falun. It was the most successful season in her career.
Before that, she has won three medals in Liberec – two gold ones, one in the free-style ride in the 30 km and another one in the 15 km mass start, she also won a bronze medal in the 10 km classical event. Apart from that she won the bronze medal in the 30 km freestyle in the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin.
