Tragic road accidents statistic from the weekend

Since Thursday in 336 road accidents 45 people have died and 426 have been wounded. The Police have stopped 1475 drunk drivers.
One of drunk drivers approached by a journalist said that he had had a wild party a day before and he stopped to drink around midnight, so he thought he was sober. Police advises to visit the Police station and have a test there if one is not certain if he was fit to drive.
However the statistics are better than last year when between 30th April and 4th May there were 631 road accidents, in which 54 people were killed and another 877 were wounded. Police stopped 2513 drunk drivers that year.
