Libertas gave money to Lech Wałęsa
Lech Wałęsa, who has to explain himself from being part of eurosceptical party Libertas Congress in Rome, admitted that he was paid for his attendance. How much? Lech Wałęsa did not answer that question.
- I haven't done that for free - said Lech Wałęsa to TVN24 about his speech during international Libertas Congress in Rome. This event started a European campaign of the party established by the Irish millionaire Delcan Ganley to European Parliament.
Asked about the exact amount, the former President of Poland answered: - I earn around 3 thousand zlotys (800 Euro) in Poland and that is not enough. I have to somehow support my family and live duly.
Lech Wałęsa assured that he did not go to join Libertas, but to speak about new solutions that would help Europe to function better. He tried to convince members of the party that there is a place for people like them in European Union. He also complimented Ganley’s creativity.
