As reported by Today.az the third meeting of Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission
took place in Warsaw and resulted in a signing of a program for further development of bilateral relations.

Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Waldemar Pawlak had a meeting with a delegation form Azerbaijan headed by the Minister of Industry and Energy Natik Aliyev, where they discussed possibilities of closer cultural and business exchange between  both countries.

Parallel to the government level meeting a business people workshop was held. During this event Polish businessmen could gather information and contacts needed for establishing business relations with Azeri companies.

As a result of the meeting a program that reflects the development’s dynamic of relations between the countries over the next few years was signed and decision was made that fourth Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission will be held in Baku.

Despite the fact that trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland last year amounted to 31.59 million US dollars, Azerbaijan is a part of Polish energy independence politics that was established by President of Poland Jarosław Kaczyński.
