Publisher of “Mein Kampf” sentenced to 3 months

Publisher of “Mein Kampf” by Adolf Hitler – Marek S. was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment and two years probation. Moreover he will pay 10 thousand zloty fine for publishing the book without copyright. During his first suitcase the case was dismissed.

The office of prosecutor accused Marek S. of illegal publishing other’s people work without copyright, that owned to Bavaria. Our prosecutors wanted 8 months and 2 years probation for Marek S. but Polish court was very favourable.

Joanna Lassota who was representing Bavaria, wanted only symbolic punishment for Marek S. that would be a message for all Polish society. Marek S. sold 20 thousand copies of prohibited works by Hitler and earned more than 120 thousand zloty.
