Nearly 7 thousand Polish citizens were locked behind bars in abroad last year – reports daily “Metro”.

Those often unemployed back in Poland or with criminal record, who managed to move to United Kingdom and find occupation there soon realized that the judiciary in UK and Ireland is much better organized and effective than in Poland. Nearly every criminal will be found sooner or later and prosecuted with full firmness. One on the best known criminal law professors in Poland Brunon Hołyst said that the unavoidability and harshness of punishment scared off potential criminals.

British Scotland Yard every one of five criminal acts in London were committed by an emigrant. 22 739 people were charged with committing them. 2310 were Poles.
