Sopot TOPtrendy Festival 2009
TOPtrendy Festival will be held from 26th to 28th June in Sopot. In “TOP” concert 10 best selling musicians in Poland will perform and during a “Trendy” event viewers will be able to admire young promising artists.
It is also a 100 anniversary of Forest Opera in Sopot. Jubilee special concert will include performances of legendary artists, who co- create the legend of this place.
There are going to be 2 events on 26th June: TOP concert and a jubilee of Golec uOrkiestra. We will be able to admire best selling Polish artists on stage including: Ania Dąbrowska, Anna Maria Jopek, Patrycja Markowska, Katarzyna Nosowska, Maria Peszek, Maryla Rodowicz, Piotr Rubika, Czesław Śpiewa and Coma.
On 27th June the 100 years of Sopot Forest Opera will be celebrated. During this concert artists, who started their mainstream career by performing in Sopot will take over the stage. You can expect artists like Halina Kunicka, Halina Frąckowiak, Alicja Majewska, Irena Jarocka, Jerzy Połomski, Wojciech Gąssowski, Andrzej Dąbrowski, Bohdan Łazuka, Edyta Górniak, Agnieszka Włodarczyk, Artur Chamski, Janusz Radk, and Stefano Terrazzino to perform.
The last day of the festival will be traditionally given to cabarets. Top Polish comedians will make a remarkable show that will be reminded for a long time afterwards. This year list of artists includes: Ani Mru Mru Cabaret, Jerzy Kryszak, Paranienormalni, Neo-Nówka Cabaret, Łowcy.B, and Grzegorz Halama.
TOPtrendy becomes more popular every year also thanks to television. Last year it was viewed by 15 million people in Poland.
