"Film Heritage Path" in Łódź

Łódź has built a "Film Heritage Path". It will take you to places that are important for Polish film industry. The initiative was designed by a Regional Development Initiative Center “Regio”.

According to authors of this project, Łódź is the most important city in Poland for film industry. Here the first ever cinema in Poland was build in XIXth century. The city is also known for its film school that has educated many well known Polish actors and directors.

Taking this trip thoriugh a city it will be possible to see an old production studio, the oldest cinema in Poland and more 20 open air locations that were used in such well known Polish film as “ Promised Land’, “Far form a road” or “Forbidden songs”.

Every trip will be ended with a film that will show the original use of previously seen locations in films.  Those trips started on 25th May and are free of charge.
