Lufthansa will have a last minute offer for LOT?

According to Sueddeutsche Zeitung it is possible that Lufthansa will rescue LOT from bankruptcy. This solutions seems to be good for both sides as it will allow LOT to forget about their debts and Lufthansa to get a part of new airline for a bargain.

However it may be not as easy as it seems as the Polish Treasury is a majority stake holder in LOT, which means that decision can be made on political basis, not according to financial analysis.

Also Sebastian Makosz ,a newly promoted chief of LOT speaks in a moderate tone: “These are not negotiations yet, we just talk how the cooperation could look like if Lufthansa decided to negotiate with us”
