Robert Kubica with first points
Polish Formula 1 driver was 7th during today race in Turkey. It gave him first 2 points of this, not the best season.
Kubica was 10th after yesterday qualification session, one position ahead of his teammate – Nick Heidfeld. Polish driver had some problems at the beginning of the race, but next he was driving without mistakes. It was also seen that his car was better than in previous races. Mechanics from BMW Sauber Team installed double diffuser what made Kubica’s car faster. Also his acceleration was much better. Kubica had fight with Fernando Alonso and Timo Glock in order to defend his 7th position and he did it well. Driver from Cracow finished 7th while Nick Heidfeld was 11th.
This result may mean that BMW Sauber Team has finally found the solution of problems connected with Kubica’s car. It is possible that German mechanics will try to install completely new system – KERS which provides better acceleration and more horsepower.
Next Grand Prix will take place in Great Britain (Silverstone).
