Legendary Irish group U2 allowed free of charge use of their song "New Year's Day" in a spot prepared by the European Commission. This clip published on You Tube shows a transformation of Poland in last 20 years mixed with short scenes from today's Warsaw seen form a perspective of 20 years old woman.

The choice of this song is no coincident - it was composed in 1983 as a reply to martial law in Poland in December of the same year.

During U2 concert in Poland 4 years ago a group was surprised by a happening organized by their fans, when they played this song. All participants formed a gigantic Polish white and red flag. Bono said in many interviews after that it had been the greatest moment of their whole tour.
