Congress of Polish Women chose “The woman of last 20 years”
Henryka Krzywonos-Stycharska was awarded the title of “The woman of last 20 years”. The lady is famous for taking part in well known strikes in Gdansk, signing the Gdansk Agreement. Henryka Krzywonos-Stycharsak is mother of twelve children. “I am very surprise about this award” – said modestly Mrs. Henryka.
“I want to say thank you that I can be here, I want to thank my all friends and other women who did the same things” – said Krzywonos. The congress assembled three thousand Polish women who were speaking about the role of women within last twenty years. The ladies also chose most distinguished woman of last twenty years.
The congress was organized by chair of the Congress of Polish Women – Lewiatan – Henyka Bochniarz, wife of former president - Jolanta Kwaśniewska, Professor Magdalena Środa and female borough leader of Kowale – Helena Zukowska.
The main goal of the congress was to unit all Polish women from different communities. The meeting was closed for every man. “We wanted to speak about our current achievement and our future” – said participants.
