Poland will be an economic superpower in 2030
Prime Minister Donald Tusk knows already how Poland will look like in 20 years. Yesterday he presented a report “Poland 2030 – development priorities”, where he points out everything that Poland should do to be a superpower in 2030.
So how does look Poland in 2030 comparing to now? It should look like this:
* it is a 6th biggest economy in Europe and 16th in the world
* Per capita income is the same as European Union average
* we have three times more highways and six times more express ways,
* 40 per cent of export consists of high tech products (now it is just3 per cent.),
* Poland has at least two nuclear power plants,
* 75 per cent of Poles live in cities (now 60 per cent),
* 70 per cent of Poles work (now 58 per cent.),
* one in three disabled has a workplace,
This scenario is possible, but there in no guarantee that it will come true. Michał Boni, the head of the research group that made this project, warned that without a proper strategy Poland can make a development drift. It means that the country can develop further, but it will not be able to chase the countries from the top global league.
