Alarm in Little Poland and Lower Silesia. Only last night there fell 100 mm of rain in Sandomierz. What is worst, next days could even be more rainy inform weather forecasters. Is there going to be another flooding of the century?

South part of the country is in danger because of heavy rain. People started to strengthen their properties with sacks with sand. Unfortunately it did not help and many houses and farms are flooded.

Today water gauges do not show optimistic information. There fell 106 mm of rain in Sandomierz and 116 mm in Karsy. In Little Poland the water flooded in many buildings. People tried to protect a church, primary school and several buildings in Chojnik. Unfortunately the forecast for next few days is not too optimistic. There will be very rain all over the country and a flood wave will reach central Poland. It is possible that in Little Poland there will fall 30 litres of water on one square meters.
