Warsaw Summer Jazz Days 2009
This is the biggest Jazz Festival in Poland that lure the biggest stars of world's jazz to perform there. This year's edition has a lot to offer:
3.07. Zorn Fest, that means John Zorn in three personifications. Electric Masada, The Dreamers and super quartet of: Zorn, Braxton, Graves i Laswell will perform on that day.
4.07. Mulasta Trio - jazz arrangements of folk and pop mixed with songs composed by this Polish-Finish trio.
5.07. This day's program include: Pasimito, known for wild sounds of a jazz guitar, trans saxophone and a strong rhythmic section as well as Me, Myself & I, that consists of a vocal duo and a beat-boxer.
6.07. Maciej Obara Trio, that takes inspiration form jazz classics such as Parker, Monk, Coltran and Davis.
7.07. Slovakian day that will present: Lucia Lužinská & All Time Jazz featuring Fritz Pauer/Tomáš GajlikTrio.
8.07. Tymański Brass Ensemble - an enfant terrible of Polish jazz. He will be accompanied by Dave Douglas. Apart form them visitors will have the opportunity to hear Maria Schneider with Krzysztofa Herdzina Orchestra as well as "Jazz Suite Tykocin" performed by Randy Becker, Włodkek Pawlik and Podlaska Symphonic Orchestra.
