XV International Jazz Festival in Warsaw
On the 4th of July one of the most popular and the biggest Jazz Festivals in Poland will start. It is called an International Outdoor Jazz Festival in the Old City.
It is one of the longest Jazz festivals in Europe, where public can listen to jazz for free.
This event always offers star performances, which is proved by the list of artists that were here before. This list includes: David Liebman, Lee Konitz, Dean Brown, David Murray, Archie Sheep, Richard Galliano, Chico Freeman, Dino Saluzzi, Avishai Cohen, Tony Lakatos, Jasper van Hof, John Taylor, Lars Danielsson, Caecilie Norby, Marilyn Mazur. Audience could see also Polish top performers such as Tomasz Stańko, Michał Urbaniak, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Leszek Możdżer, who used this Festival to show their new projects for the first time.
This Festival has found its place in Polish and foreign media and will be partially transmitted to many countries. During 14 years of existence it has gathered an audience of over 700 thousand people that had an opportunity to listen to 130 concerts.
