65 per cent of Poles has a computer at home and 56 per cent has Internet access. Last year those numbers were 8 per cent points lower. Such are results of a poll made by CBOS.

This research showed also that a fact of owning a computer is related with education, age and financial status. Younger, better educated and more wealthy people have a bigger chance of owning a computer with Internet access than those who are poorer or did not get a full education.

There is also a significant difference between towns and villages. In rural area only 46 per cent of examined people had access to the Internet and in urban areas this percentage stands at 62 per cent.

Exactly a half of Poles admits that they use Internet at least once a week.
