Many touristic trials in Tatra Mountains have been flooded. Heavy rains caused also many other damages and discontinued the renovation of well known cross on Giewont.

Almost all touristic trials are moody and very slippery, especially their forest sections. Local floods occurred near Marine Eye Lake where huge and deep pools appeared. Very popular trial from Wyżna Przełęcz to Giewont is closed because of the renovation of the cross on Giewont. Conservators need three days to finish their works. The cross that was built in 1901 became a symbol of Tatra Mountains. Parish priest – Kaszalewski and his parishioners wanted to commemorate 1900th anniversary of birth of Jesus so decided to build this cross.

According to Polish weather forecaster, the weather should be better very soon with sun and no rains. It is very good news for all tourist who decided to visit our beautiful mountains.
