A record Open'er Festival
Four nights with Open'er Festival. More bands, more visitors (if the weather improves), bigger fan area, more days - one of the largest music festivals in Europe breaks its own records.
There is around 75 per cent of expected audience here - said MikoĊaj Ziólkowski, a head of the Festival, yesterday evening. This year there shall be around 60 thousand fans from Poland and form abroad participating in this event.
The Festival was opened by a local band called Old Time Radio. Later fans were able to enjoy some concerts on couple of scenes (all 7 scenes will be working today). Yesterday was dominated by native and UK bands including: Basement Jaxx, Late Of The Pier and Arctic Monkeys, who performed songs from their new album for the first time live.
However the most expected part of the Festival starts today. All scenes will be opened and concerts of world music stars will be packed so tightly that it will be very difficult to decide where to go, as it is very difficult to choose just a couple of following performers: Faith No More, Madness, White Lies, The Ting Tings, Beth Ditto from Gossip, Alice Glass from Crystal Castles or Kings Of Leon.
