Authorities of Hel decided to sink “Bryza” ship in Zatoka Pucka. But why will they do that? The answer is interesting and quite surprising. The shipwreck should become one of the main....touristic attractions of Hel.

“Bryza” which was a military launch will be sunk on the 16th of August 2009. According to local authorities it will be huge attraction for frogmen.

The ship will be attached to the bottom of the sea with chains and huge anchor made of steal. It will be sunk 200 meters away from the shore, at 25 meter in depth. “Bryza” was a military launch built for Polish Navy in 1964. In 2003 command headquarter decided to remove it from the navy because of its age. 29 meters long ship was sold to the company which wanted to scrap it. But the authorities of Hel decided to buy the sip in order to create new interesting attraction for tourists.
