Only 13 thousand millionaires in Poland

According to a poll made by "Rzeczpospolita” quality daily only 13 thousand Poles had earned more than a million złoty (240 thousand Euro) last year. It means that only one in 3 thousand Poles can call himself a millionaire, however this number is growing fast.

Who are the lucky people, whose income was so high? They are mainly actors, footballers, companies’ owners and managers of banks or international holdings.

According to data gathered by “Reczpospolita” in Polish tax offices one in four millionaires lives in highly industrialized provinces. The highest number of people that declared high income was, no surprise there, in Warsaw, where headquarters of many companies are located. Silesia province has a second place with 1501 millionaires, however it saw the biggest increase in numbers of rich people last year.

What is interesting managers in Warsaw earned around 6 million zloty ( 1.4 million Euro) and they were way behind businessmen in poor provinces such as Masuria and Polaskie, where leaders have earned 11 million (2.65 million Euro) and 9 million zloty (2.2 million Euro) respectably.
