Ukrainians will start exhuming bodies of prisoners murdered in Łuck.

Despite of the fact that besides Ukrainians there were murdered many Polish people, Polish consulate has not been informed about the exhumation. Also the Council for the Protection of the Memory of Fighting and Martyrdom does not know anything about it. Polish citizens were killed by officers of The People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs in 1941. It is believed that there were murdered two or even four thousand people, including 0.5-1 thousand of Poles. June 23rd 1941 was horrible for those prisoners. Russian army divide all prisoners into two groups (Polish and Ukrainians) and then murdered those using machine guns.
