20 years old Sylwester Bednarek has won bronze medal during World Athletics Championships in Berlin. Polish star set a new personal best record.

Bednarek went Berlin despite of the fact that he did not meet requirements of the tournament. But in July he won gold medal during the youth championship in Kaunas, so Polish Athletics Association decided to give him a chance. They wanted to give him chance to get needed experience, but contrary to all expectation Bednarek became bronze medallist. 2.32 meters is Bednarek’s new personal best and gave him world championship medal.
