Support for Auschwitz is getting bigger

Belgium is next country which decided to support the renovation of a death camp in Auschwitz. The project is being realized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation.

Belgian Prime Minister – Herman van Rompuy had ensured Donald Tusk in his privet letter that Belgium would support the renovation in 2010 and 2011. According to conservators from the Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau, one years costs may come to 3.5 or even 5.5 million euro, depending on realized projects.

The renovation of this important monument have already been financed by Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Malta, Portugal and Great Britain.
