Yoga starts to be increasingly popular and common. Poles try to escape from their stressful lives into calm and silence. Yoga is a mean to achieve this state of mind. Yoga New Years Parties, schools of yoga, holidays with yoga multiply rapidly.

Some people even lobby for yoga to be considered a sport that would be represented in London 2012 Olympic Games.

Yoga is a philosophical system from India. It examines relationships between a body, mind, spirit and consciousness. However Poles seem not to know that. In some small cities yoga is seen as a kind of occultist ritual.

In "Wieści Mirksa" we can read such information about yoga: " Classic yoga is about liberation of a human from its humanity. It liberates not only from suffering, but from a psychological process of life. It is a total negation of life. Not health, but DEATH is the real purpose of yoga (...)

By practicing yoga a human being starts to retreat within itself, slowly lacking the ability to coexist with other in a loving relationship. Practicing most of eastern meditation techniques including yoga unblocks energy channels that are ready to suck on occultist energy. People looking for peace in yoga are unwillingly exposed to a bad spirit that leads to hell."

This quote shows that some Poles have very little idea about other cultures and are afraid of them.
