Belgian GP qualification
Belgian GP qualifications had a very interesting course. First session went according to the plan. All drivers that have no experience in Formula 1 finished qualification after this session.
Qualifications started to be interesting from second session. Such drivers as Hamilton, Alonso and this year’s driver championship leader Jenson Button stayed at positions 11 to 15. However the most interesting was yet to come.
Surprisingly both BMW cars made through to third session. Robert Kubica had even the best time for a while. However Jarno Trulli managed to get a better time very quickly. When everybody expected Trulli to get pole position the impossible happened. : Giancarlo Fisichella managed to get a perfect lap, grabbing the first ever pole position Force India, which was a red lantern of Formula 1 until recently. Robert Kubica finish the session at 5th place and his team partner Nick Heidfeld was 3rd.
Today’s qualifying sessions foretell a very interesting race tomorrow.
