Poles "attacked" subsidies from EU
Poles smelled easy money and threw themselves in fight for European Union and governmental subsidies. In some cities there is couple of dozen candidates for each beneficiary place.
A subsidy form EU can be as high as 40 thousand złoty (9.3 thousand Euro) and governmental one can be as high as 19 thousand złoty (4.4 thousand Euro).
In 2009 companies will become 515 million złoty (119 million Euro) from European Union Treasury. Money will be given to best project selected by the special commission.
The Human Capital program is addressed to people who did not conduct any commercial activities for last 12 months. If they become subsidy they will not have to pay it back if their newly set up company survives at least a year on the market.
