One of most charismatic Polish players Marcin Wasilewski broke his leg during a league game of his team Anderlecht Brussels versus Standard Liege. He had to be taken away from the pitch and a player he collided with was given a straight red card and faces long suspension.

Belgian media published a photo of Wasilewski being attacked by Wistel, where his leg is bended in an unnatural way. Demorgan.be portal wrote that this football weekend was shaded by Wasilewski injury, which will keep him away for the rest of the season if it would not break his career.

Media remained that those two teams clashed in a special game last season that decided about championship. The game was very brutal then and Wasilewski finished it with bandaged head.

Standard Liege captain Steven Defour said however that the referee has to be also blamed for this injury as he allowed brutal play before during this match.
