Tragic mistake of Polish police
One year ago, Polish SWAT made horrible mistake. They came into a flat on Warsaw because they expected dangerous gangsters. Unfortunately they only found 34 years old man and broke him his spine bone during the action.
The trial and investigation are being conducted. The man wants 200 thousand zloty (40 thousand euro) from the police. According to the police it was a horrible mistake and they feel guilty of this accident. On the other hand they do not to pay so high compensation. Police officers were testifying in court. They said that they had had their orders. “We were asked to intervene in this flat. Our superiors expected dangerous criminals form “mokotowksa group”, which is supposed to be one of most dangerous gang in Poland” – explained the officers.
When the officers came into the flat they incapacitated 34 years old man and thrown him on the floor. Unfortunately they broke his spine bone. Despite of the fact that the officers asked the man if he needed paramedics, they can be sentenced for this crime. Also Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights decided to help the man.
