During the second day of European Volleyball Championship yesterday there were no major surprises as all the favorites won their games.

Serbia won with Czech Republic 3:0 (25:22, 26:24, 25:14) after an uneventful game, Slovenia was better than Slovakia winning 0:3 (20:25, 21:25, 28:30) and what is most important Poland won their game against Germany 3:1 (25:17, 25:23, 27:29, 25:14).

This match had a special meaning to former Polish team coach Raul Lozano, who now coaches Germany. A Little General, as he was called in Poland told one journalist that he missed Poland and Polish passion for volleyball. However our team showed no mercy to Germans showing they were much better team, especially in the last set.

Spirits are high in Polish team. Bartosz Kurek said: “If we play like this until the end of this tournament we will definitely come back with a medal”.

Today Poland plays the last group game against Turkey.
