Poles won their third game
Poland has won 3:0 (25:23, 25:18, 25:17) with Turkey during European Volleyball Championship in Izmir, Turkey. They qualified to the second phase with 3 wins and not a game lost.
However the final result does not allow o see the real picture of the game which was not easy for Poland. Turkey wanted to show that their loss against Germany was just a mistake. Fortunately at the end of first set Poland showed why it is considered to be one of the best teams in the world by scoring 2 points in a row when it really needed it.
Turkish team started the second set well, but more experienced Poles were able to win it to 18. The last set was much easier as Turks lost their hope and did not play so well any more.
Poland’s coach Daniel Castellani was very pleased after the game: “That was a tricky match and we had to be careful all the time. However we showed that we can win games like that and that we are ready to fight for the real glory in next stages of this tournament”.
