According to motosport.com Ferrari decided not to select Robert Kubica, because he was to high. He would not fit into Felipe Massa's car.

Kubica has 185 cm and Massa has only 165 cm (Kimmi Raikkonen is 175 cm tall) and there would be a lot of trouble to adapt the car for him as height and weight of a driver are very important. Ginacarlo Fisichella, who was given the place in the red car at the end is 172 cm, so adaptation procedures will be much easier for him.

How difficult it would be with Kubica shows the example of BMW, where Nick Heidfeld is also 165 cm tall. Both cars of BMW are completely different, because of that fact. It would cause even more problems for the reminder of the season for Ferrari as tests between races are forbidden this year.
